Dr. Bhattacharya received his PhD in theoretical condensed matter Physics from University of Maryland at College Park in 1992.  He held positions as a postdoctoral fellow at The Penn State University, and then as a research associate and research assistant professor at Michigan State University, before  joining UCF in 2000, where he is a Professor at the physics department.
