Chapter Meeting

Location: 301Q, Psychology Building
Officers Present: Joe Keebler, Katie Del Giudice, Heather Lum

Meeting Notes:

  • We were not able to pass the new Constitution. It was suggested that it be amended to include a requirement for members to participate inchapter activities if they are going to consider themselves part of the chapter (include membership on vitas, resumes, etc.). The officers will amend the constitution and give the revision to members to vote on.
  • Halloween Party: will happen at Aaron’s house on Oct 24 from 8pm – midnight. He has asked that people carpool as there is not enough parking available. It is a potluck so members are advised to bring food with them if they are able to. The officers will do an e-vite to get a headcount the week before.
  • Dues are $7….please pay ASAP!!
  • Next brown bag will be in 301C on Oct 24 at 12:30 pm. Grant Taylor and Amanda Howey from ARI will present their research.
  • NEM video game display: November 3rd in Pegasus Ballroom A/B. We need consoles!!
  • Homecoming tailgate: November 8th from 12 – 3:30pm. We will invite the Space Coast Chapter members.
  • Fundraising idea: Panera Bake Sale (maybe coordinate with video game display day and use the proceeds as book drive funds?)
  • Bookdrive: we will do a round 2 since not enough members showed up to the first date. Time and Place TBA.
  • AVID Teaching: Corner Lake Middle School, come out and talk to 8th graders about human factors! You can present on Mon, Wed, or Fri (the teacher prefers you present on Fri). If you’d like to sign up you must submit a screening survey, available on the Chapter Google Groups.

Next officer meeting: Tuesday, October 21 at 5pm, either at P2 or on campus
