Jean Bagga


Jean Bagga joined UCF’s Psychology Department in 2011 as the Grant Manager for Dr. Beidel’s $5.1 million dollar grant from the Military Operational Medicine Research Program.  Jean is currently the Coordinator of Administrative Services for UCF RESTORES.

Jean graduated from Clemson University in 1984 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Parks, Recreation, and Tourism Management and a minor in Psychology.  After college, she joined the Peace Corps and completed a three-year term in Tunisia, teaching mentally and physically handicapped students.  After returning to the U.S., she was hired as Director of Recreation Therapy at Roper Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Charleston, SC. In 1994, she went overseas again and taught English as a foreign language in the United Arab Emirates.  Upon her return to the states, she made a career shift and joined Boyken International as Office Manager, where her responsibilities included supervision of administrative staff, recruiting and hiring employees, expense tracking and reporting, quality control of client deliverables, staff orientation and trainings.  It was at Boyken that she gained extensive experience in project management (i.e., proposals, presentations, budgets, cost estimating, expense and projections tracking). Three years later she was promoted to Business Manager and took on additional responsibilities from the corporate headquarters in Atlanta, GA that included quality assurance of proposals and contracts, team budgeting, the corporate mentoring initiative, and the corporate monthly publication.

In 2011, Jean joined the UCF Department of Psychology and is responsible for administrative and financial aspects of the UCF RESTORES team.
