Students are also encouraged to review the <a href=\"https:\/\/graduate.ucf.edu\/faq\/\">UCF Graduate Studies FAQ<\/a> for information about university policies, enrollment, graduation requirements, funding opportunities, and other graduate student resources.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h5 data-start=\"813\" data-end=\"853\">How Is My Graduate Advisor Assigned?<\/h5>\n<p class=\"text-justify\" data-start=\"855\" data-end=\"1284\">As part of the application process, students identify faculty members whose research interests align with their own. Admission decisions are based on a holistic review of each application, including research fit and faculty availability. Students who are admitted are assigned a Graduate Advisor who serves as their primary mentor and guides their academic progress, research, and professional development throughout the program.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h5 data-section-id=\"14jj9wd\" data-start=\"3644\" data-end=\"3670\">Can I Change Advisors?<\/h5>\n<p data-start=\"3672\" data-end=\"3937\">Yes. Because advising relationships are based on mutual agreement, students may change advisors. Students interested in changing advisors should discuss the change with the prospective advisor and the Graduate Program Director.<\/p>\n<hr data-start=\"3939\" data-end=\"3942\" \/>\n<h5 data-section-id=\"14q27sg\" data-start=\"3944\" data-end=\"3978\">What Is a Plan of Study (POS)?<\/h5>\n<p data-start=\"3980\" data-end=\"4311\">The Plan of Study (POS) outlines the coursework required to complete your degree. Students work with their advisor to develop a Plan of Study and are encouraged to submit it by the end of their first semester. Any future changes must be approved through the appropriate departmental process.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h5 data-start=\"748\" data-end=\"788\">What Is an Intent to Graduate (ITG)?<\/h5>\n<p class=\"text-justify\" data-start=\"790\" data-end=\"1044\">Students planning to graduate must submit an Intent to Graduate (ITG) through<a href=\"https:\/\/my.ucf.edu\/\"> myUCF<\/a> by the published university deadline. Students should consult their advisor and review <a href=\"https:\/\/calendar.ucf.edu\/\">Graduate Studies deadlines<\/a> to ensure all degree requirements are completed on time.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h5 data-section-id=\"1tijxzd\" data-start=\"5067\" data-end=\"5134\">What Student Organizations Are Available for Graduate Students?<\/h5>\n<p data-start=\"5136\" data-end=\"5232\">Anthropology graduate
