Her work focuses on personhood and the varied experiences of D\/deaf, hard of hearing and Latine peoples. In the US, she has worked on research projects in Los Angeles and Detroit. Internationally, she has worked in Guatemala, Costa Rica, Ecuador and Switzerland. She loves learning languages and speaks English as a native speaker, is a heritage speaker of Spanish, learned French and has used it throughout her travels, and has a working knowledge of Lensegua (the Guatemalan Sign Language) her fieldwork language. <\/span>Dr. Rodriguez received her M.A. in Anthropology from California State University, Los Angeles and her Ph.D. Anthropology with a focus on cultural and medical anthropology from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Rodriguez teaches:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>ANT 2000: General Anthropology<\/li>\n<li>ANT 2410: Cultural Anthropology<\/li>\n<li>ANT 4408: Culture, Disease, and Healing<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 1rem\">ANT 4462\/5462: Medical Anthropology<\/span><\/li>\n<li>ANT 4466: Anthropology of Disability<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 1rem\">ANT 6930: Seminar in Cultural Anthropology<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Dr. Rodriguez is a cultural anthropologist with a specialization in applied medical anthropology.
