Julia received a B.A. in Anthropology and Spanish, a B.S. in Biology from the University of Alabama in 2020 and an M.A. in Anthropology from the University of Alabama in 2022. Julia is working under the advisement of Neil Duncan focusing on paleoethnobotany.
