{"id":174,"date":"2016-02-04T09:22:00","date_gmt":"2016-02-04T14:22:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/biology.cos.ucf.edu\/abl\/?page_id=174"},"modified":"2026-07-24T15:39:25","modified_gmt":"2026-07-24T19:39:25","slug":"facilities","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/sciences.ucf.edu\/biology\/abl\/facilities\/","title":{"rendered":"Facilities"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>LABORATORY:<\/strong> Dr. Lisa Chambers is the PI of the Aquatic Biogeochemistry Lab (ABL), an 820 ft2 state-of-the art laboratory located in the Biological Sciences Building on UCF\u2019s main campus. Dr. Chambers is also the PI on record for the Soil and Sediment Laboratory (SASL), a core laboratory for the Biology Department (a 760 ft2 wet lab, also located in the Biological Sciences Building). Together, the ABL and SASL labs are fully equipped to analyze a suite of chemical, physical, and biological soil and water parameters. The infrastructure of the labs includes: 3 fume hoods, 5 sinks, an in-line DI water system, a back-up power generator, seven desktop computers and one laptop computer for running major instrumentation and analyzing data, as well as two network printers.<\/p>\n<p><strong>OFFICE:<\/strong> Dr. Lisa Chambers has a ~100 ft2 faculty office with a Dell desktop computer and network printer. Graduate students will have their own desk space and computer outside the laboratory, while the lab manager has a desk and computer inside the ABL<\/p>\n<p><strong>OTHER RESOURCES:<\/strong> Dr. Lisa Chambers has access to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ucf.edu\/location\/biology-field-research-center\/\">Biology Field Research Building<\/a> Center (BFRC) which includes 1000 ft2 of modular research space, five 450 ft2 storage bays, parking for field vehicles, and three greenhouses (2 X1000 ft2, 350 ft2).
