Zain is a recent biology graduate from UCF. At the Gaither Lab, he is optimizing primers for lionfish environmental DNA. He is also investigating Levantine dwarfism in Mediterranean fishes. Zain is passionate about wild fish and conservation, and he enjoys fishing, photography, and wildlife. Zain plans to attend graduate school and has research interests in genetics/genomics, fish ecology, evolutionary biology, and neuroscience.
