She then completed her M.S. at the University of San Diego, with her thesis focused on population structure in Pacific Sardines under the guidance of Dr. Matt Craig. During that time she also contracted at Southwest Fisheries Science Center with the Genetics, Physiology, and Aquaculture Lab.
