{"id":1134,"date":"2011-07-28T18:04:38","date_gmt":"2011-07-28T18:04:38","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/king.cos.ucf.edu\/?page_id=2"},"modified":"2021-12-28T15:29:39","modified_gmt":"2021-12-28T20:29:39","slug":"king-lab-front-page","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/sciences.ucf.edu\/biology\/king\/","title":{"rendered":"Welcome to the King Lab!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Community Ecology, Invasion Biology, Social Insects, Conservation Science<br \/>\n<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p>We study natural history, community assembly, ecosystem service provisioning, and species invasions at multiple scales in natural and human-altered landscapes.\u00a0 The overarching themes of the research program are to understand how insects impact ecosystem functions, how insects affect the delivery of ecosystem services, and what the ecological mechanisms are that drive species invasions associated with land-use changes.
