Dr. Fitak\u2019s experience encompasses a wide swath of questions and species, covering topics such as population genomics, phylogenetics, zoonotic diseases, sensory physiology, and circular statistics in species ranging from a fungus to salmonids to wolves and even camels. Dr. Fitak\u2019s research will hope to understand the incredible array of biodiversity and the specific adaptations, physiology, and behavior that make species unique. His work integrates a variety of genomic, statistical, behavioral, and experimental techniques to characterize these traits and conserve the biodiversity in which they persist.
