Dr. Kim Schneider\u2019s primary appointment is with UCF Undergraduate Studies and she holds a secondary joint appointment with the Department of Biology. As founding director of the Office of Undergraduate Research she works with faculty and students campus-wide to promote student research. She has a strong interest in science education. She has several ongoing research projects in science education. Dr. Schneider\u2019s biology research interests are in the areas of marine biology and physiological ecology. Her work examines the interactions between organisms and their physical environment. Specifically, she is interested in the role that abiotic and biotic factors play in regulating population distributions of marine species with an emphasis on non-native species.
