Meet the CHAMPS Team!

The CHAMPS program for Chemistry, Forensic Science, Physics, and Photonic Science and Engineering students, is a collaborative effort led by Dr. Tamra Legron-Rodriguez (Principal Investigator – Chemistry) with support from faculty across multiple STEM disciplines including Dr. Julie Donnelly (Co-Principal Investigator – Chemistry), Dr. Patrick LiKamWa (Co-Principal Investigator – CREOL), Dr. Tong Wan (Co-Principal Investigator – Physics), Dr. Constance Doty (Co-Principal Investigator – Physics), and Mr. Mike McKee (CREOL). Together, we’re building a vibrant, supportive community to help students thrive academically and professionally. CHAMPS provides scholarships, mentoring, and paid research/internship opportunities—all designed to bridge the gap between classroom learning and career readiness.
