February 27, 2018

More than 33 years after its founding by Orlando public relations veterans Joe Curley and Roger Pynn, Curley & Pynn Public Relations Management Inc. has a new president, a 22-year veteran of the firm who has agreed to acquire full ownership. Dan Ward, APR, CPRC, joined the award-winning agency in March 1995 and has served as vice president and minority shareholder for the last 10 years. He is now taking the reins during a period of remarkable growth for the agency.

“I’ve never had greater confidence in the team of professionals I’m lucky enough to work with every day, and I’m eager to engage with them as we plan the future of Curley & Pynn,” said Ward, who earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the Nicholson School of Communication in 1992.

Ward remains actively involved with the university. He was inducted into the NSC Hall of Fame in 2011 and currently serves on the school’s advisory board. Ward is also chair-elect for the UCF Alumni Association.

Ward is an accredited member of the Florida Public Relations Association, whose Orlando Chapter named him the 2013 PR Professional of the Year for Career Excellence. He earned FPRA’s highest designation as a Certified Public Relations Counselor  in 2014.

Additionally, he is involved with the Public Relations Society of America, for which he served as president of the Orlando Regional Chapter in 2004.

Curley & Pynn has earned a reputation as The Strategic Firm®, providing full communication program management for leading brands throughout Florida.  Clients include Universal Orlando Resort, Florida Power & Light Company, the University of Central Florida, Florida High Tech Corridor Council, FAIRWINDS Credit Union, EA Sports and more.
