When it comes to career panels at the University of Central Florida, Gino Perrotte just might be the expert. In the past five months, Perrotte has hosted two panels for his students and participated in another hosted by the Pre-Law and Pre-Health Advising Department.
Perrotte’s most recent panel was held on April 21 for his Fundamentals of Technical Presentation class. The panel consisted of three guests from UCF and the community – Jonathan Hall, UCF Career Services career development coordinator who specializes in working with STEM students; Lisa Malone, Kennedy Space Center liaison for the Nicholson School of Communication, and Valerie Moses, a development specialist for CFE Credit Union.
The intent of the panel was to show students what communication skills were expected of new hires/recent graduates. Students were encouraged to use the event to ask career-related questions and as a networking opportunity.
