Rodrigo Soares has more than 15 years of experience in the Corporate Communication field. Originally from Brazil, he started his career in 1999, working at Shell as an intern in the Corporate Affairs area. Three years later, he took over the position of Head of Internal Communications to the Oil Products business in Latin America. In 2006, he left Shell and moved to the Brazilian mining company, Vale. Present in more than 20 countries, the company is the world ́s largest producer of iron ore and nickel. In 2011, he assumed the position of Global Head of Branding, Advertising and Sponsorships. In 2015, after 9 years, Rodrigo left the company to come to the US and pursue a Master’s Degree in Communication at the University of Central Florida. Since then, he has been focusing his research on Crisis and Risk Communication.
