In particular, she uses a suite of radiative transfer codes and mapping codes to model atmospheres of other worlds and compares the models with observations to figure out what these worlds look like. Understanding the composition of atmospheres and mapping the extent of clouds in them is important if we want to understand how these bodies evolve with time and for figuring out if some of them may host life.
