Assistant Professor, Applied Mathematics
The Department of Mathematics at the University of Central Florida invites applications for three tenure-track positions at the Assistant Professor level anticipated to begin in August 2019. Preference will be given to applicants specializing in
- Applied and computational number theory
- Random matrix theory
- Numerical solutions of stochastic differential equations
- Inverse problems: image analysis, image reconstruction and applied harmonic analysis
- Applied partial differential equations
Extraordinary candidates from other areas of mathematics will be also considered.

Responsibilities: Successful candidates will be expected to teach both undergraduate and graduate level courses, conduct a vigorous research program, pursue external funding, advise and mentor students, and participate in department and university governance.
Qualifications: All applicants must possess a Ph.D. in Mathematics, or a closely related field from an accredited institution, at time of application. Some postdoctoral experience is desirable. Other requirements include strong research potential, and effective communication skills in English.
