Please check your syllabus for your testing dates and rooms and if you are not sure contact your instructor. Make-up tests will be given for legitimate reasons recognized by the university. To take a make-up exam, you have to obtain permission from your instructor ahead of time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\" \/>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Please use the following checklist before arriving to take a test<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">THINGS TO BRING FOR TESTS<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Bring at least one <strong>writing utensil<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Student UCF ID card<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;font-weight: bold\">DO <\/span><em style=\"color: #000000;font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000\">NOT <\/span><\/em><span style=\"color: #000000;font-weight: bold\">BRING DURING TESTS<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Cellphones<\/strong> &#8211; Do not bring your cellphone! If you by any chance you have your cellphone with you, the cellphone must be <strong>turned off<\/strong> <strong>before<\/strong> entering the room and <strong>placed face down on the desk, next to the monitor<\/strong> (not on the chair, lap, floor and so on).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>&nbsp;(<\/strong>basically anything NOT on the below list<strong>)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>NO<\/strong> backpacks, purses, bags of any kind,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>NO<\/strong> <span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">skateboards (Generally never allowed in MALL)<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>NO<\/strong> <span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">calculators<\/span> (you&#8217;ll be given a TI-30XA),<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>NO <span style=\"color: #ff0000\"><em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">smart watches or other gadgets<\/span><\/em><\/span><\/strong>(If you don&#8217;t want to put them in a locker make other arrangements, do not bring them in the room.)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000\">WARNING<\/span>: IF YOU ARE CAUGHT WITH ANY ITEMS NOT ALLOWED DURING A TEST IT COULD JEOPARDIZE YOUR GRADE.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><strong>*Especially Items known to be used by students to go against student conduct such as plagiarism or unfair means.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\" \/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Using the Lockers<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><strong>Read instructions before you use a locker so you don&#8217;t lose the money before it locks!<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Bring $.50 (two quarters) if you are going to use a locker; <strong>No personal belongings are allowed during testing.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Make sure to put <em>EVERYTHING in the locker, EXCEPT<\/em> THE &#8220;<strong>things to bring<\/strong>&#8221; list <span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">above.<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>THINK AHEAD<\/strong> The locker will lock ONCE per .50 cents, so if you forget to put something in your locker you will need another .50 cents to re-lock it a second time.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If you are running into any locker trouble contact a Proctor or Assistant from the MALL to help.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>For refunds or other technical issues with a locker please contact UCF Card Services located in the John T. Washington Center, Suite 104\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Phone: 407 &#8211; 823 &#8211; 2100.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>For assistance after 5:00pm, please contact Maintenance at 407 &#8211; 823 &#8211; 5223.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\" \/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">When you sit down<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>You will be seated&nbsp;<\/strong>randomly<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You must put&nbsp;your <strong>UCF ID&nbsp;face up&nbsp;on the desk<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Staff will walk-by in the MALL for general computer assistance and to check matching ID&#8217;s to Tests being taken.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>(<strong>No test help is allowed<\/strong>)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Make sure that you <strong>arrive early<\/strong> as the test will start on time. You will <strong>lose<\/strong><strong>time<\/strong> if you are late or don\u2019t know login information and need to retrieve it.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><em>(Always login before class to make sure no password reset is active for your UCF login, this will delay your test time<\/em>)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Memorize your NID and password<\/strong> to log into a computer and Webcourses@UCF.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Have an <strong>active (not expired) access code<\/strong>.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><em>You should check your account before you go to testing.<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Proctors are not allowed<\/strong> to answer your questions about calculator use during testing. So, you should buy one and practice with it.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>&nbsp;At all times, you must <strong>abide by Mathematics Assistance and Learning Lab (MALL) Policies and Procedures<\/strong>, and The UCF Golden Rule.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\" \/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Testing (all students)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>When?\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>You will only be allowed to take your test within the scheduled time period.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If you arrive 20 minutes late to a test on the scheduled period, you will <strong>not be allowed<\/strong> to take your test. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You will be expected to wait outside of the testing environment until your scheduled test time arrives.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Where?\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The MALL, MSB 241, 240, 242 or 153, will be used for testing during the testing weeks. You will not be able to get MALL hours during testing days, so plan accordingly.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Students will be asked to line up at one door or the other according to: class or last name. Please pay attention to where you should line up because this may change&nbsp;from test to test&nbsp;in order to facilitate all students.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>What should I bring?\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Students should attend each test with the following items:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Valid UCF Identification Card<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Knowledge of your course login and password<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Pen or pencil<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Should a student come to the MALL <strong>without<\/strong> his\/her UCF student ID card, he\/she will <strong>not be admitted<\/strong> to the testing session until they are cleared by the faculty in charge.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Personal belongings:&nbsp;You may <strong>not<\/strong> bring personal items including bags, purses, backpacks, phones, skateboards, laptops, calculators, tablets, food &amp; drink, etc. into the MALL during testing.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Lockers are available for $.50 in the MSB vending machine room on the&nbsp;2nd floor (MSB 227) and MSB&nbsp;131 for storage of your personal belongings during testing. A change machine is installed in MSB 131.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>All cell phones and electronic devices should <strong>not<\/strong> be brought in. Bringing in electronic devices into the MALL during testing may result in a<strong> 0% for the test<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A grade of zero on a test will be assigned in one of the following situations:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>the <strong>student violates the UCF academic integrity policies<\/strong> during the exam or in any circumstance relative to the exam<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>the *<span style=\"color: #ff0000\"><em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><strong>student\u2019s cell phone rings, vibrates, or they access it for any reason<\/strong> <\/span><\/em><\/span>as well as accessing other personal items while in the MALL <strong>(again, NO PERSONAL&nbsp;ITEMS DURING EXAM)<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Check-in and out for an exam. Please <strong>arrive at the MALL 15 minutes<\/strong> before your scheduled testing appointment. A <strong>valid UCF<\/strong> <strong>Student ID Card<\/strong> is required to gain entrance to the lab. You will be assigned to sit at a particular computer workstation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\" \/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Make-up Policy<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Please check your syllabus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is the practice of the University of Central Florida to reasonably accommodate the religious observances, practices, and beliefs of individuals in regard to admissions, class attendance, and the scheduling of examinations and work assignments.
