One UCF team was awarded <strong>Meritorious<\/strong>, and two other teams successfully competed this year.<\/p>\n<div class=\"\">Team # 71547, consisting of <strong>Matthew Lebrecque<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Sabrina Mai<\/strong>, and <strong>Jonathan Perez<\/strong>, was designed as the &#8220;Successful Participant&#8221; of the Interdisciplinary Contest in Modeling (ICM) for the work on Problem E &#8220;Sustainable Cities Needed&#8221;. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.comap-math.com\/mcm\/2017Certs\/71547.pdf\">certificate<\/a><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div class=\"\">Team # 71612, consisting of <strong>Michael Groff<\/strong>, <strong>Evan Waldmann<\/strong>, and <strong>Kyle Haldane<\/strong>, was designed as the &#8220;Successful Participant&#8221; of the Mathematical Contest in Modeling (MCM) for the work on Problem B &#8220;Mere after Toll&#8221;. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.comap-math.com\/mcm\/2017Certs\/71612.pdf\">certificate<\/a><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div class=\"\">Team # 71658, consisting of\u00a0<strong>Lauren Brads<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Cameron Douglas<\/strong>, and\u00a0<strong>Owen Thomas<\/strong>,<\/div>\n<div class=\"\">was designed as the &#8220;Meritorious Winner&#8221; of the Interdisciplinary Contest in Modeling (ICM) for the work on Problem D &#8220;Optimizing the Passenger throughput at Airport Security Checkpoint&#8221;. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.comap-math.com\/mcm\/2017Certs\/71658.pdf\">certificate<\/a><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We are delighted to announce that six UCF teams have participated the 2017 MCM\/ICM competition during January 19-23.
