The workshop will\u00a0 concentrate on\u00a0 harmonic analysis and sampling theory.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>During the workshop, Professor <a href=\"https:\/\/math.vanderbilt.edu\/aldroua\/\">Akram Aldroubi<\/a> (Vanderbilt University) will\u00a0 discuss a dynamic frame system, which is fundamental for understanding and solving several major problems in engineering and science.\u00a0 Many data sets in image analysis and signal processing are in a high-dimensional space but exhibit a low-dimensional structure.\u00a0Professor\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/people.math.gatech.edu\/~wliao60\/\">Wenjing Liao<\/a> (Georgia Tech) will present her works on\u00a0 building efficient representations of these data for the purpose of compression and inference.\u00a0 Stability is a basic concept in sampling theory. Professor <a href=\"http:\/\/maths.sogang.ac.kr\/shinc\/\">Chang Eon Shin<\/a> (Sogang University, Korea) will\u00a0 provide an\u00a0overview\u00a0 on stability and norm-controlled inversion of infinite matrices and integral operators.\u00a0 \u00a0Dynamical sampling is an interdisciplinary field that deals with processing signals that evolve in time. Dr.\u00a0 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.math.jhu.edu\/~stang\/\">Sui Tang<\/a> (John Hopkins University)\u00a0 will discuss dynamic sampling and its\u00a0connection to\u00a0 sparse signal processing theory and polynomial interpolation theory.\u00a0\u00a0Signals with finite rate of innovations appear in many engineering applications such as magnetic resonance spectrum, ultra wide-band communication and electrocardiogram.
