Officer Elections

Anyone who is interested in an officer position should plan to attend both the March 10 and March 24 meetings.

Note that March 10 is the Friday before spring break, and we’re aware that this may cause issues for some of you. Officially, only people in attendance can nominate others.

If anyone wants to run for a position next year but cannot attend on March 10, let an officer know and we can make sure that you are nominated. We also plan to run a Zoom meeting during nominations so you can attend virtually. Below are some eligibility criteria for officers (these are set by the university):

  • Must be enrolled in at least 6 credit hours (or 5 credits if a graduate student, or 3 credits if registered for dissertation or thesis hours). You do not need to be enrolled during the summer.
  • Must have a UCF Cumulative GPA aove 2.5 for undergraduates or 3.0 for graduate students.
  • Must be in good academic and disciplinary standing (i.e. not being on academic or disciplinary probation).
  • Must be free of financial or disciplinary holds on University records.
