The UCF Mathematics Graduate Certificate Program has been offered since Fall 2009, with two additional tracks\u2014Financial Mathematics and Data Modeling\u2014introduced in Fall 2020.<\/p>\n
The General Mathematics Certificate<\/strong> is primarily designed to prepare students to teach college-level mathematics at the high school or community college level.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n The Financial Mathematics Certificate<\/strong> is tailored for students seeking knowledge in mathematical finance and preparing for careers in the financial services industry or regulatory agencies.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n The Data Modeling Certificate<\/strong> is intended for students interested in mathematical modeling and analytics techniques for data extraction, preparing them for careers as data analysts or data architects.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n A brief description of the certificate programs can be found in the UCF Graduate Catalog<\/a>.<\/p>\n Program Requirements:<\/strong> Some courses are available in a distance-learning format, including recorded lectures and proctored exams at approved local facilities. However, not all electives or prerequisites may be available online. Additionally, UCF is not authorized to deliver online instruction in certain states. Students pursuing the general graduate certificate must complete 18 credit hours<\/strong> of graduate-level mathematics coursework. Those in the Financial Mathematics or Data Modeling tracks are required to complete 12 credit hours<\/strong> of graduate-level courses.<\/p>\n
