\"Manatee<\/a>He may not have won the grand prize, but he was still able to crash the Super Bowl.<\/p>\n

Nicholson School of Communication alumnus Brian Kleinschmidt<\/a> was not the winner of the Doritos Crash the Super Bowl Contest, but he was still able to attend the big game in Arizona as a top 10 finalist.<\/p>\n

Kleinschmidt\u2019s ad, \u201cMisSpellingBee,\u201d made it to the final round in the contest, which is designed to give consumers an opportunity to create a 30-second Doritos ad that could potentially air during the Super Bowl. The two ads that received the most votes from the public, \u201cWhen Pigs Fly\u201d and \u201cMiddle Seat\u201d did air during the Super Bowl, but \u201cMiddle Seat\u201d was the reigning champion.<\/p>\n

The creator of \u201cMiddle Seat,\u201d Scott Zabielski, is the director and executive producer of Tosh.O, starring University of Central Florida alumnus Daniel Tosh. As the grand-prize winner, Zabielski won $1 million and a dream job with Universal Pictures.<\/p>\n

Graham Talbot, the creator of \u201cWhen Pigs Fly,\u201d won $50,000 as the second-place winner and the rest of the runners-up \u2013 including Kleinschmidt \u2013 received $25,000 each.<\/p>\n

All 10 finalists also spent a week in Arizona, courtesy of Doritos\u2019 parent company PepsiCo, and watched the Super Bowl from the Doritos suite. Elizabeth Banks, star of \u201cThe Hunger Games\u201d and director of \u201cPitch Perfect 2,\u201d also watched the game in the Doritos suite and was one of the judges that assisted in picking the 10 finalists.<\/p>\n
