\"new<\/a>The College of Sciences at the University of Central Florida welcomes 50 new faculty members this fall.\u00a0\u00a0In conjunction with\u00a0the new faculty hiring campaign, approximatley 200 new faculty will\u00a0begin at\u00a0the university by fall 2015.\u00a0 These new faculty members will strengthen the areas of the university where there has been high student enrollment and growth.<\/p>\n

Many of these new faculty will be part of the new Faculty Cluster Initiative <\/a>that has been designed to leverage UCF\u2019s existing strengths and foster the development of strong, interdisciplinary diverse teams focused on solving today\u2019s most challenging scientific and societal problems.<\/p>\n

Six faculty clusters have been selected in the program’s inaugural year, including\u00a0cyber security, renewable energy, coastal systems, genomics and bioinformatics,\u00a0prosthetics, and energy\u00a0conversion and propulsion.<\/p>\n
