The UCF Psychology Department has accepted Governor Rick Scott’s “Ready, Set, Work” challenge and is already implementing programs to reach this goal.<\/p>\n

Governor Rick Scott recently announced the \u201cReady, Set, Work\u201d University Challenge, which challenges the two most popular majors within state-funded universities to get 100 percent of their graduates (not going on to graduate school) full-time employment within a year. As the two most popular majors at UCF,\u00a0 psychology and nursing have both accepted Governor Scott’s challenge.<\/p>\n

As the largest major at UCF, the Psychology Department is eager to rise to this challenge and will be hosting an event to help students connect with professionals and learn about the field.<\/p>\n

“Beyond the Degree: Careers in Psychology” presented by the UCF Psychology Advising Center and Career Services will host panelists to discuss the various career options that are available to individuals that have bachelor degrees in psychology. The event will take place on Thursday, April 21st from 1-3pm in the Career Services Building, Room 121. RSVP<\/a> is requested by Wednesday, April 20.<\/p>\n
