He told CRDF that its award was critical and timely.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Few sources of funding exist to bring together researchers from the U.S. and Ukraine,&#8221; Belfield told CRDF.<\/p>\n<p>Belfield&#8217;s team worked with researchers from the Institute of Physics of the National Academy of Sciences, Kyiv, Ukraine, led by Dr. Mykhailo V. Bondar.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The U.S. researchers and students have benefited immeasurably by the complementary expertise provided by the scientists from Ukraine and vice versa,&#8221; Belfield told CRDF.<\/p>\n<p>CRDF Global is an independent\u00a0nonprofit organization authorized by the U.S. Congress and established in 1995 by the National Science Foundation.
