Flowers and candles covered the Pegasus seal in the Student Union Monday in remembrance of the Pulse shooting victims.<\/p><\/div>\n

The University of Central Florida community will join together Tuesday, June 14, to honor the lives taken during the act of terror at the Pulse nightclub in Orlando.<\/p>\n

A candlelight vigil will begin at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Reflecting Pond.<\/p>\n

The event is being organized by members of UCF\u2019s LGBTQ+ community with support from UCF Social Justice and Advocacy.<\/p>\n

Speakers \u2014 including UCF President John C. Hitt, SGA President Chris Clemente and members of UCF\u2019s Pride community \u2014 will address Sunday morning\u2019s tragedy and talk about its impact on UCF and the community. Additional speakers will highlight campus services available for students, faculty and staff.<\/p>\n

The names of the shooting victims will be read as candlelight surrounds the Reflecting Pond.<\/p>\n

Free parking will be available in Garage A, accessible via University Boulevard.<\/p>\n
