The recipients were chosen from both undergraduate and graduate areas of studies, according to their performance in specific classes, research and other UCF achievements.<\/p>\n<p>The winner of the <strong>W.W. The award for<strong> Inorganic Chemistry<\/strong> went to <strong>Aaron Chau<\/strong>, and <strong>Duaa Malik<\/strong> won for <strong>Organic Chemistry<\/strong>. The <strong>Physical Chemistry<\/strong> award went to <strong>Lorianne Schultz<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>Freshman Award<\/strong>, for the most outstanding freshman chemistry or forensics major, went to <strong>Bridgette Kish<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>Graeme and Hazel Baker Award<\/strong> goes to an outstanding chemistry or forensic science major who has graduated in the previous summer, fall or current spring semester. This year, the award went to <strong>Charles Verduzco<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The chemistry student with the next highest level of achievement is awarded the <strong>American Institute of Chemists<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>Award<\/strong>. This year, it went to two students: <strong>Hugh Hayes<\/strong> and <strong>Julie Donnelly<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Nominated by Fernando Uribe-Romo, Ph.D.,\u00a0 <strong>Giovanna Pope<\/strong> won the<strong> ACS Division of Organic Chemistry Award in Undergraduate Organiz Chemistry<\/strong>.
