{"id":2492,"date":"2012-04-23T12:55:00","date_gmt":"2012-04-23T12:55:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/news.cos.ucf.edu\/?p=2492"},"modified":"2012-04-23T12:55:00","modified_gmt":"2012-04-23T12:55:00","slug":"biology-student-featured-in-article","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sciences.ucf.edu\/news\/biology-student-featured-in-article\/","title":{"rendered":"Interactive technology could engage new audiences"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The use of interactive technology might have an additional benefit: Development of a new audience for art museums, a plugged-in audience that won&#8217;t view museums as stuffy or old-fashioned.<\/p>\n<p>Adrienne Tish, whose photo &#8220;Florida Caverns&#8221; was the top vote-getter in the Orlando museum show, agreed.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;This contest was a cool way for people to be proud of the museum,&#8221; said Tish, 22. &#8220;The idea was excellent for bringing in new people or people who hadn&#8217;t been to the museum in a long time.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Tish had only a passing knowledge of the Orlando museum, but while attending the announcement of the winners, she checked out the artwork in the other galleries.
