Pegasus Professor Kerstin Hamann, Ph.D., director of the School of Politics, Security, and International Affairs, was recently named a vice president of the American Political Science Association. The APSA, founded in 1903, is the leading professional organization in the field of political science with over 11,000 members in more than 100 countries.\u00a0APSA\u2019s mission extends to promoting and supporting research and publications, teaching, public education, professional development, and diversifying the discipline, among others. As vice president, Hamann is part of a 31-person council that constitutes the governing body of the APSA. While serving in that position, she also been appointed as the chair of the Committee on Elections and Rules and serves as a member of the Teaching and Learning Policy Committee.<\/p>\n
