Department of Physics graduate student Joshua Forer is headed to Bordeaux, France, to conduct research, courtesy of the prestigious Fulbright Fellowship.<\/p>\n

The fellowship will span ten months and allow Forer to work with research scientists at the University of Bordeaux. Forer\u2019s research focuses on carbon-hydrogen molecules and their role in planetary atmospheres and interstellar mediums.<\/p>\n

\u201cFrom a cultural exchange perspective, I feel that this is going to be a very useful experience. Research is approached differently in the U.S. than it is in France, and I look forward to a new perspective on collaboration with other scientists,\u201d said Forer.<\/p>\n

Approximately 8,000 grants are awarded annually by the Fulbright Program to foster a multicultural approach to research development.<\/p>\n
