UCF women\u2019s soccer player Tishia Jewell always took her education seriously.<\/p>\n

Two years later, she earned her Bachelor\u2019s degree in psychology at University of Central Florida. Jewell, a senior, is pursuing a dual Master\u2019s degree in public administration and non-profit management and is set to graduate in fall of 2013.<\/p>\n

Many student-athletes often struggle to graduate on-time with their Bachelor\u2019s degree. Jewell is graduating on-time with not one, but two, Master\u2019s degrees.\u00a0\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

\u201cShe epitomizes what a student-athlete is,\u201d UCF women\u2019s soccer head coach Amanda Cromwell said.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s no wonder Jewell has been nominated for the Senior CLASS award, given to the nation’s most well-rounded senior NCAA Division I Student-Athlete of the Year across nine different sports.<\/p>\n

Jewell, a forward, has also been brilliant on the pitch for the Knights (6-1-1) this season. She is an All-American, a Hermann Trophy Watch List nominee, and is seven assists away from UCF\u2019s all-time record.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe\u2019s so dangerous off the dribble, she can set everybody else up with assists,\u201d Cromwell said. \u201cThat\u2019s really probably her biggest threat because she causes so much havoc and she can create so much attention that defenders key in on her\u2026she opens it up for other people. So it\u2019s really about the people around her and how she can set them up.\u201d<\/p>\n
