Steven L. Grantham, \u201910, earned the title of United States Marine after graduating from recruit training at Marine Corps Recruit Depot in Parris Island, S.C. \u00a0For 13 weeks Grantham stayed committed during some of the most demanding entry-level military training in order to be transferred from civilian to a Marine instilled with pride, discipline and the core values of honor, courage and commitment.<\/p>\n
Charles A. Wankat, \u201909, recently completed U.S. Navy basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, III.\u00a0 During the eight week program, Wankat completed a variety of training which included classroom study and practical instruction on naval customs, first aid, firefighting, water safety and survival and shipboard and aircraft safety. Wankat also completed \u201cBattle Stations,” which is the capstone event of the boot camp that is designed to instill the basic warrior attributes of sacrifice, dedication, teamwork and endurance in each recruit.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
