The ceremony was hosted by the UCF Center for Success of Women Faculty. The event highlighted women faculty who have published books of fiction, non-fiction, or textbooks for national distribution within the past three years. Miller was recognized for her contribution to enhancing connections between health communication practice and faith communities.<\/p>\n<p>Edited by Miller and Donald L. Rubin, \u201cHealth Communication and Faith Communities\u201d addresses three major topic areas of praxis and theory: (a) health communication through communities of faith\u2014that is, cases in which public health entities use religiously affiliated channels of communication to convey their messages \u00a0(b) health communication by communities of faith\u2014that is, interpersonal or public interactions in which religiously identified message sources articulate their stances on health protection and disease treatment and (c) health communication in faith communities or in religiously identified patient-provider communication.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Nicholson School of Communication Associate Professor\u00a0Dr. Ann Miller\u00a0was honored at an event celebrating UCF Women Faculty Book Authors.
