{"id":6931,"date":"2013-04-01T12:34:10","date_gmt":"2013-04-01T16:34:10","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/news.cos.ucf.edu\/?p=6931"},"modified":"2013-04-01T12:34:10","modified_gmt":"2013-04-01T16:34:10","slug":"student-research-week-at-ucf","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sciences.ucf.edu\/news\/student-research-week-at-ucf\/","title":{"rendered":"Student Research Week"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Student Research Week celebrates the research and creative projects of UCF students.<\/p>\n<p>From April 1-4, 2013, at the UCF Student Union, you can check out the remarkable cutting-edge research&#8211;many times using the most advanced modern technology&#8211;that students are undertaking to explore community challenges<br \/>\nand help solve real-world problems.<\/p>\n<p>Research Week kicks off on April 1 with &#8220;Hunger Knows No Friend,&#8221; presented by Dr. James Wright of the Institute of Social and Behavioral Sciences. Learn about a series of student research projects dealing with hunger and food insecurity in Central Florida. Research presentations will be displayed during the Graduate Research Forum and the Showcase of Undergraduate Research Excellence (SURE) on April 2 and April 4 respectively. Research Week also features a great assortment of helpful professional development workshops and The State of STEAM, a unique art exhibit containing STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) inspired art works.
