Biography

Les Kramer, Ph.D., PE, has 47 years of experience as a materials scientist and engineer, a program manager and an entrepreneur in the defense, power generation and renewable energy, prosthetics and commercial industries. He is the motive force that spun off TaiLor Made, LLC – a prosthetic foot manufacturing company based on his simple but revolutionary composite foot patented design. TaiLor Made, LLC launched in 2017 and is currently selling product into the lower limb prosthetic market. During 2010, he formed Advanced Materials Professional Services, LLC AMPS, LLC) Prior to the formation of his AMPS, LLC, Kramer was Director and Chief Technologist at Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control in Orlando, FL. He is a member of the Pennsylvania State University Material Science and Engineering Industrial Professional Advisory Council, a board member for the UCF Nanoscience Center, a board member of the UCF College of Science and an Honorary Trustee of the Orlando Science Center.  Kramer received his B.S. in Metallurgical Engineering from the University of Illinois, and his M.S. and Ph.D. in Material Science from The Pennsylvania State University. He is a life member of ASM International, a member of the National Association of Corrosion Engineers (NACE) and a member of the American Society for Testing (ASTM) Materials. Kramer has published over 70 technical papers and holds 15 patents. He is a licensed professional materials engineer in Florida.
