Dr. Leone is a professor of Chemistry and Physics and John R. Thomas Endowed Chair in Physical Chemistry at University of California, Berkeley. He earned his Ph. D. in Physical Chemistry from University of California, Berkeley. He is a\u00a0Fellow of American Physical Society, Optical Society of America, \u00a0American Association for the Advancement of Science, and the American Academy of Arts and Sciences. He is a recipient of\u00a0American Chemical Society Peter Debye Award, 2005 and\u00a0Polanyi Medal of the Gas Kinetics Division of the Royal Society of Chemistry, UK, 2010, and\u00a0holds professorship in various institutes around the world. His research interests include ultrafast laser investigations and soft x-ray probing of valence and core levels, attosecond physics and chemistry, nanoparticle fluorescence intermittency, and aerosol chemistry and dynamics.<\/p>\n
