The UCF Biophysics Group is resuming its seminar series for the 2020-2021 academic year.
The next seminar will be held on:
Wednesday, September 23, 12:00pm -1:00pm EST
Dr. Alfons Schulte, Professor, UCF Department of Physics, will present:
Formation and Growth of Mesoglobules across the Poly(N-isopropyl acrylamide) Coil-to-Globule Transition Revealed with Kinetic Neutron Scattering and Fast Pressure Jumps
The flyer, with the abstract, is attached.
Exposure to hands-on research experience is a vital component of undergraduate education, and the department strives to ensure that this is available to our Physics majors who may be interested in performing research with professors here at UCF, even during these difficult times. Join us on Thursday September 24, from 5pm-7pm, for a live 2 hour session to learn more about the research opportunities available in the groups in our Department, and a description for how interested students might get involved. The event will be held online.
I would like to announce that the Renewable Energy and Chemical Transformations (REACT) Cluster at the University of Central Florida (UCF) in collaboration with the Florida Chapter of the American Vacuum Society (AVS) and UCF-AVS student chapter is hosting a Distinguished Lecture Series on Catalysis. Prominent scientists from various universities, research centers, and industry conducting experimental and theoretical research in surface science and catalysis will be giving lectures every other week. The lectures are intended for an audience with a broad range of expertise, from undergraduate and graduate students to senior scientists.
