My name is Abdelkader Kara. I am an Associate Professor at the University of Central Florida. I received my PhD in 1985 and then started a postdoctoral job at Penn State where I first began supervising the research of graduate students. Over the years, I have had the opportunity to work with about twenty graduate and undergraduate students. At Kansas State University alone, I worked with eleven graduate students in the group of Professor T.S. Rahman. I had approximately fourty published papers with these students and they presented their work in many national as well as international conferences. I began teaching at UCF in the Fall of 2007. I still continue to supervise the research of several students.
