Jeff Jorges


Jeff is a 4th year Physics major, specializing in Astronomy and minoring in mathematics.  Apart from his passion for Physics and Astronomy, Jeffery also has a deep passionate for sharing his love of science with others by participating in science outreach for his university and general public. During his time here at UCF Jeffery has participated in research with the Center of Microgravity Research studying planet formation as well as participating in a summer Research Experience for Undergraduates at the University of California, Santa Cruz where he studied Dark Matter Halos.  After the completion of his degree in Spring 2017 he plans to matriculate into a graduate program to work towards getting a Ph.D. in Astrophysics. In addition, to his involvement with SPS he serves as the current president of UCF’s Astronomy Society.
