Vanessa Lowry

vanessaVanessa Lowry is a senior in the Physics major with an astronomy and math minor. She is currently participating in research through an Oxford University professor, Dr. Robert Van Gorder, in mathematical physics studying the Non-Extensive Statistical Mechanics and Relativistic Effects of the Thomas-Fermi Model, and the Relativistic Lane-Emden Equation. Also, she has completed a research project at UCF with Dr. Saha focusing on the Inner Shell Ionization of Magnesium. She plans to attend graduate school at UCF in applied mathematics. Her extracurricular activities include volunteering at her local church, accomplished classical pianist, and the Latin Rhythms Salsa Club at UCF.
