We’re back from our summer hiatus with a discussion of comets, and in particular the comet 67P/Churyomov-Gerasimenko. 67P is the destination of the Rosetta spacecraft which is currently returning some spectacular images of this comet revealing it to be a contact binary. You can find information about Rosetta and the comet at ESA’s website here. When Rosetta’s lander, Phillae, lands on the surface of the comet, we’ll finally find out how well Josh did at advising the Deep Impact producers on the look of their comet.
