Solar System Slushees

Comet 67/P and its spacecraft companions Rosetta and Philae have rounded the Sun and are now heading back out to colder climes. Rosetta has seen dramatic jets, chunks of ice sloughed off the comet, and a new and completely alien landscape. Meanwhile New Horizons hurtles further outward in the solar system, leaving behind Pluto and its exotic and noxious mix of frozen volatiles earning it the nickname of the Solar System’s Slushee.
