Preparing for Graduation<\/h4>\n

There are many important deadlines and milestones that students should be aware of as they progress through their academic career. The College of Graduate Studies\u00a0website<\/a> <\/strong>is designed to provide graduate students with this important information to keep\u00a0the students\u00a0on track with\u00a0their plans for earning\u00a0their graduate degree and help\u00a0them navigate the graduation process.<\/p>\n

Students should check with their program adviser for information on the important milestones associated with their program of study and degree requirements. Please refer to the Graduate Catalog<\/a><\/strong> and the corresponding handbook (Physics Handbook<\/a> <\/strong>or Planetary Sciences Track Handbook) <\/strong><\/a>for program-specific information.<\/p>\n

The Program of Study policy can be reviewed here<\/a>.\u00a0 An approved program of study should be on file with the College of Graduate Studies prior to obtaining candidacy status.\u00a0<\/span>You may revise the Planned Program of Study as needed.<\/span><\/p>\n

If requesting a transfer of credit, the student should submit a Plan of Study (POS) during their first semester of enrollment.\u00a0 Attach a list of courses to be considered for transfer.\u00a0 The student’s final official transcript(s) must be in file.<\/p>\n
