Call for Nominations for Outstanding Faculty in Instruction, Scholarship, Creative Works, and Research<\/strong><\/p>\n

Dear College of Sciences Faculty and Staff,<\/p>\n

The College of Sciences is excited to recognize outstanding achievements of our faculty. We have enhanced these recognition opportunities. Please read below and coordinate with your chair\/director to submit any faculty nominations by January 27, 2025.<\/p>\n

Recognizing Outstanding Instruction<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

We are accepting nominations of full-time faculty members of any rank who have notable instructional accomplishments, contributions, and impacts at the undergraduate and graduate levels. More information about the nomination categories is found on the nomination website, below.<\/p>\n

These activities must have occurred between August 2022 and December 2024<\/strong>. Faculty members may nominate a colleague to their chair\/director for consideration. Individual faculty members or a group of faculty may be nominated.<\/p>\n

Recognizing Outstanding Instruction<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n

Recognizing Outstanding Scholarship, Creative Works and Research (OSCaR)\u00a0<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

We are accepting nominations of full-time faculty members of any rank who have completed exceptional achievements in research, scholarship, or creative activities. Examples may include but are not limited to high-impact publications, significant new research projects, major proposals, patents, inventions, dissemination of creative works (e.g., books, films), and development of new research areas. Please also consider activities that are notable but that may not typically attract attention or recognition based on the usual metrics of dollars or numbers of proposals.<\/p>\n

These activities must have occurred between August 2022 and December 2024. Faculty members may nominate a colleague to their chair\/director for consideration. Individual faculty members or a group of faculty may be nominated.<\/p>\n

UCF Office of Research\u2019s Mentoring and Research Collaboration Program <\/strong>for Assistant\/Associate\/Full Professors<\/strong><\/p>\n

This program is intended to pair UCF senior and junior faculty researchers in a mentoring relationship that will increase the probability of success to secure external research funding. Mentoring can be initiated by either mentor or mentee. Mentors and mentees do not need to be in the same department. Mentees selected for a mentoring award must submit a multi-year federal<\/u> grant proposal\u00a0as the lead principal investigator (PI) within one year of the mentoring award<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
