Breaking the Cycle:
Creating Solutions for Water Security in the Middle East

On January 21, 2015, the Prince Mohammad Bin Fahd Program for Strategic Research and Studies along with the Hollings Center for International Dialogue co-sponsored a panel in Washington, D.C. entitled “Breaking the Cycle: Solutions for Water Security in the Middle East.”

This discussion, moderated by PMBF Director David Dumke, concentrated on the issue of water, specifically its overuse due to growing demographics coupled with increasing government subsidies, and the many innovative and technological improvements that may provide relief from this crisis, ensuring the long-term sustainability of the region’s most vital resource.
