Dr. Powell (PhD University of Kentucky) is an Assistant Professor in the Political Science Department specializing in international relations and comparative politics. He is especially interested in civil-military relations, with regional interests in Africa and the Middle East. Dr. Powell’s work has appeared or is forthcoming in the Journal of Conflict Resolution, Journal of Peace Research, Foreign Policy Analysis, and African Security Review.
