Gary Smith is a Ph.D. Student in the Security Studies program at the University of Central Florida. He received his M.A. from UCF in the summer of 2014. He currently serves on the Junior Scholars Committee of the International Society of Political Psychology (ISPP) as a co-coordinator of the Mentor Program. Beginning in July 2015, he moves on to become the co-coordinator of Professional Development Programs. In the summer of 2013, he was a fellow at the ISPP’s Summer Academy for Political Psychology, as well as an attendee at the Stanford Summer Institute for Political Psychology. His research has been presented at the annual meetings of the ISPP, ISA, SPSA, and APSA. His research interests include international relations, elite decision-making behavior, and the psychological correlates of international conflict.
