Student Groups

UCF hosts hundreds of student driven groups, below are a few connected to our department. You can also find other political and international focused groups through the Office of Student Involvement.

International Relations Club

Does your heart race when someone mentions the costs and benefits of the Eurozone? Do you jump at the chance to engage in reasoned discussion about realities of democracy building in the Middle East? When someone asks where you see yourself in five years, do you imagine yourself on a plane to another country, to do work of great importance? Are you interested in finding internships and opportunities in the international relations field right here at UCF? Then the International Relations Club is for you! The International Relations Club at UCF seeks to help students deepen their understanding of global politics and international issues, as well as find both academic and professional opportunities in the field of international relations. The IRC holds weekly discussions about current events, attends conferences to gain a more in-depth understanding of specific issues, and hosts a variety of guest speakers on topics ranging from terrorism to the TOEFL certificate. Social events like game nights and informal “global coffee hour” discussions also help members make friends with other students who are passionate about international politics, come from many different backgrounds, and have very different ideas about how to go about solving the world’s problems.
Dues are $25/semester, no application necessary.
